In late 2022, nearly a thousand Alameda County employees took a survey. The responses helped the plan understand county employees’ financial well-being challenges. These challenges can undermine your ability to be prepared for retirement.

Why is financial empowerment important?

Financial stress can erode your ability to live a satisfying life today and be prepared for retirement in the future. In addition, worker financial insecurity can lead to high turnover, absenteeism, and delayed retirement.

How can I measure my financial well-being, and how to improve it?
